Chelsea have bolstered their U18 squad with the capture of the signatures of three exciting youngsters. Chelsea Youth team guru writes that The Blues have handed short-term academy scholarship contracts to three non-league prospects : Renedi Masampu, Adebambo Akinjogbin and Tushaun Walters. Adebambo Akinjogbin, who is of Nigerian descent, impressed the coaching staff at the academy during trials along with the other two new recruits. The winger was previously with the youth team of Brentford and has also worn the jersey of Abbey Rangers. The 17-year-old Akinjogbin was called up to the England Independent Schools U17 squad for their friendly against Scotland Independent Schools U18s in April 2017. He scored in pre-season friendlies for Chelsea U18s and was a non-playing substitute in last weekend's 2-0 win at Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.

Italy striker Andrea Belotti Chelsea have failed with a £63m offer for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to reports in Italy. Tuttosport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Premier League champions made a substantial offer for the Italy international. However, the same article states that Belotti’s employers Torino rejected the approach for one of Serie A’s most-prolific strikers. According to the story in the Italian media outlet, Chelsea will have to activate Belotti’s £88m contract release clause if the Blues want to secure the centre-forward’s signature. The 23-year-old striker enjoyed a breakthrough season at Torino last term after Belotti scored 26 times and made seven assists in 36 appearances in the Italian top flight last term. Reports from England suggest Chelsea expect Diego Costa to comply with certain conditions as per the terms of his contract having failed to return to training with the club. Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a £23million deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier, according to reports. Sky Sports say Aurier has completed his medical ahead of a proposed £23m move to Spurs. There is still some work to do before the transfer is finalised though, with the PSG defender needing to secure a work permit before any move can go ahead.
